Blackball is a montage of surreal nocturnal happenings. The character, performed by Gaffney, lives in a staged set-up in an apple orchard, which he destroys. A car's headlights pull up, and we see hum buried under leaves shoveled by an unseen second person, before the scene changes to an empty fairground at night with horses spinning aimlessly.
